Soil Ball for 'planting' Crocheted Plants is an original crochet tutorial by June Gilbank.

To speed up your crocheted plant projects or get a different effect, 'plant' them in a decorative container instead of crocheting a pot. With this method, you'll make a ball of crocheted 'soil' and stitch your crocheted plant to the ball. You can then 'transplant' your crocheted plant into the container of your choice!

For my example pots, I've 'planted' crocheted cacti and succulents from Cactus Collection 2 and Succulent Collections 1 & 2 in miniature terracotta plant pots and decorative teacups.

(Note: this tutorial is not a full crochet pattern - my potted plant crochet patterns are available to purchase separately! This tutorial explains how to 'plant' any crocheted plant in a suitably-sized container by crocheting a suitably-sized ball of 'soil'.)

This Soil Ball for 'planting' Crocheted Plants tutorial is Donationware - the any-size instructions are available to view online for free, but if you like it please consider sending me a donation to show your appreciation.
