Poinsettia is an original punchneedle embroidery pattern by June Gilbank.
This 7-page pattern includes full instructions and traceable patterns to make a 2.5x2.5" and 4x4" punchneedle embroidery in this design.
Supplies required:
- Punchneedle (size medium)
- Punchneedle threader
- Lip-lock embroidery hoop, size 4" (small pattern) or 6" (large pattern)
- Weavers cloth or another suitable backing fabric
- Small, sharp embroidery scissors
- Fine marker pen
- Fabric glue (use washable glue if you may need to launder the embroidery)
- Optional: Felt backing
- Embroidery Floss
This pattern includes a list of all the DMC floss colours required to complete the design exactly as pictured (colour names and numbers) and the Anchor equivalent colours (numbers). Feel free to customize the design with your own colour substitutions if desired!
The pattern also includes preparation and punching instructions, and finishing techniques.
