Three original crochet amigurumi bird patterns by June Gilbank so you can make a realistic life-sized Duckling or Gosling.
This pattern includes three mix-and-match options for the down markings, and two bill shapes, depending on whether you’re making a baby duck or goose.
Colour Markings:
● Single colour
● ‘Mallard duckling’-style markings
● ‘Canada Goose gosling’-style markings
Bill Shapes
● Duckling Bill
● Gosling Bill
By mixing-and-matching the heads, bodies and bills, and varying the colours, you can make a wide variety of different baby ducks and geese!
Yarn: worsted weight yarn in yellow and/or brown (or any other suitable colours, e.g. grey, black, white), plus orange or black for the bill (or your preferred colours)
For the pattern samples, I chose appropriate colours to make a single-coloured duckling (bright yellow with an orange bill), a Mallard duckling (pale yellow and dark brown with a black bill) and a Canada Goose gosling (pale yellow and warm grey with a black bill).
Hook: US E / 3.5mm
Size: approx 5.5" (14cm) long
Eyes: 9mm
