Free-For-All CAL roundup
This extended 6-week CAL was a Free-For-All, so participants had free choice to make any PlanetJune patterns they wanted (amigurumi, accessories, free patterns, patterns from my book). It’s interesting that with 120 patterns to choose from, you can see some definite trends in what people chose to crochet, but also loads of variety.
Now it’s time for me to take a short break while I visit my parents.
The next CAL will be the Ravellenic Games, from July 27th to August 12th. I’d like to invite you to join Team PlanetJune! (See the end of this post for more details.)
(For speed, I just give credit with participants’ Ravelry usernames.)

Wow – impressive, huh? And not just in quantity – it’s a lovely gallery of wonderful workmanship too. Great job, everyone!
Join Team PlanetJune!
If you haven’t signed up yet, I’d like to invite you to join Team PlanetJune for the Ravellenic Games (the just-for-fun yarny competition that coincides with the dates of the Olympics).
Challenge yourself to complete ‘events’ like WIPs wrestling, Lace Longjump, or Toy Toss (i.e. you challenge yourself to complete one or more projects between the times of the Olympic opening and closing ceremonies that fits into any of the specified categories). All PlanetJune patterns fit into at least one of the event categories, so you have totally free choice of what you make – and your fellow team members will be there to cheer you on!
You can grab either or both of the team logos above to use as your ravatar and/or on your blog when you talk about the games. And show your team spirit by modifying your ravatar to add the Team PJ banner like this:
It’s just for fun, there’s no competition – only your personal challenge to yourself – and Ravelry awards virtual ‘medals’ to all the projects that were completed in time (July 27 – August 12). I’ll also be giving out prizes to all Team PlanetJune members who complete at least one project for the team – there’ll be PlanetJune prizes and also some prizes donated by Suncatcher Eyes!
If that sounds like fun, please sign up for Team PlanetJune on Ravelry! We hope to see you there 🙂
