Amigurumi Photography Workshop

The first PlanetJune Online Class will begin on Monday March 26, 2012! The Amigurumi Photography Workshop is designed to let you learn easy and effective techniques that will let you improve the quality of photos you've already taken with just a few clicks, and a few hints on how you could improve the photo if you were going to take it again.

As this is my first online workshop, I'm offering it to my Ravelry group members only, at the introductory price of only $10. To sign up:
Requirements:
- Photographic Equipment: Any digital camera (even a cameraphone, if that's all you have!) You don't need to take any new photos for this workshop, although you're welcome to try putting the techniques into practice with new photos and sharing the results. In the workshop, we'll be working with your existing photos and learning how to improve them.
- Software: There are no software requirements - all you need is a computer and an internet connection. We'll be using a free online-based image editor for the workshop, so everyone can use the same tools. (After the workshop, you can apply the techniques to whichever software you normally use, or continue to use the online one.)
- Because of all our time zone differences, there won’t be any fixed times you have to be here: all the materials will be online for you to follow whenever is convenient for you. The workshop will run over a week or two, or however long it takes - the materials will stay online indefinitely, so you can remind yourself about what you’ve learnt!
- Participants will each provide some of their amigurumi photos
- I’ll pick one photo from each participant and a) show you all how to improve it with image editing and b) suggest how you could improve the photo if you were taking it again.
- Then, as homework, you get to practice the techniques by editing your other photos and showing before and afters, try taking new photos, etc. We’ll talk about what you’ve done and if there may be ways to improve it further.
- It will be friendly and informal - just like a thread on Ravelry, except that only workshop participants can see the conversations.
