This turtle is one of my favourite projects ever; I take it with me everywhere. Making all of the hexagons takes a while, but worth the effort. (You also don't have to sew in all the ends from the hexagons - they contribute to the shell stuffing! A huge plus for those who get bored of sewing in ends, which is most crocheters I've ever met.) The pattern is easy to follow, even the parts that looked complicated before I read June's explanations. A magical reminder of the night I watched a sea turtle lay her eggs.
