The patterns are full of detailed instructions and photos. Included are special techniques and stitches you need for each cephalopod(nothing "new" but it's RIGHT THERE where and when you need it! no hunting and searching!) Don't get discouraged by the tentacles, they are NO SEW! YAY! A little fiddly at first, but SO worth it, and they got easier after the first one!! Very easy to accomplish detail on each cephalopod.
